We created the Annual Cary Cares Campaign to honor women in the Cary community who have endured hardship and/or work tirelessly to care for others and give back to the community.

Founded and led by Dr. Meenal Patel, Cary Cares reflects her unwavering belief that dentistry can go beyond smiles—it can change lives. As a compassionate dentist and advocate for women, Dr. Patel launched this campaign to uplift those who often put others before themselves. Her vision is simple yet powerful: to use her platform, skills, and voice to celebrate resilience and restore confidence in women who deserve recognition and renewal.

Cary Cares is not just a campaign—it’s a movement rooted in empathy, driven by purpose, and led by a woman who leads with heart.

Last year, the Third Annual Cary Cares Makeover Event brought in an overwhelming number of heartfelt nominations, each one a story of strength, sacrifice, and resilience.

While every nominee was deeply deserving of recognition, we had the honor of selecting three exceptional women whose journeys truly moved us: Michaela Tomás, Amanda Hudson, and Emma Butler. With the generous support of our sponsors, each recipient received a full makeover experience designed to celebrate their courage and give them a moment to feel seen, appreciated, and uplifted. Their stories continue to inspire our mission and remind us why Cary Cares matters.

Fifth Annual Cary Cares Makeover Campaign

Do you know a Cary, North Carolina woman who deserves a break? Please nominate her for the Fifth Annual Cary Cares makeover campaign! The nomination deadline is October 31, 2021.

Please note, all participating vendors adhere to strict COVD-19 safety precautions. Masks will be worn throughout the day.

Each makeover winner will receive the following:

When nominating women for this makeover please keep in mind:

01The compelling nature of the stories describing the lives of the women who are submitted.

02The basis of whether the woman you are nominating could or would attain this for themselves, whether that be based on factors of money or time.

033 winners will be selected and voted on by our panel.

04The panel of partners will vote for the 3 winners based on the detail and reasoning that goes into their nominations.

05Women who are nominated MUST live in the following North Carolina areas: Cary, Raleigh, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs.

06Nomination Deadline: Please submit all nominations by Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
